sBTC pool participants access the BTC staking tranche through a whitelisted pool operator instead of managing a native Bitcoin L1 timelock themselves. Their enrollment, lock management, and pro-rata reward distribution happen through the pool, and their sBTC is locked in the pool contract for the bond period.

Native BTC holders who pair a Bitcoin L1 timelock with locked STX.

STX-Only Stakers

Participants who lock STX without a paired BTC commitment.
